Miles signs with William Woods University

Long-time Ballers Nation guard Jaylon Miles has officially signed to play next-level basketball at William Woods University, located in Fulton, Missouri. Miles, an attendee of Bishop Gorman Catholic School in Tyler, finished his senior season averaging 11 points per game and earning multiple All-District accolades. The guard was recently selected to the 21st annual Azalea Orthopedics All-Star Team roster, adding to the growing list of Ballers Nation student-athletes to receive the honor.

Jaylon began The Process in the 4th grade, a time that Ballers Nation CEO and Head Coach Brian Crawford remembers vividly. “He’s played on our biggest platforms and circuits and been a winner not only each year with us, but at every stop he’s had in his school career as well. A tough grinder who still has his best basketball ahead of him,” Crawford said. “He’s officially a Ballers Nation alumni now. We salute and thank his dad, Coach Ricky Wilson, for his time serving in our organization in many capacities as well. We appreciate their Family for Trusting The Process.” In his final summer with the program, Miles shot over 46% from the field on over seven points per game, along with a team-leading 78% from the line.

Miles, during his signing ceremony at Bishop Gorman, highlighted his time with Ballers Nation. "I want to thank Coach B [Crawford] and Coach E [Coppock] for believing in me and treating me like family since the 4th grade," Miles said. "I'm glad I trusted The Process, and I'll always remember that it's Me Versus Me!"

The Tyler-native will be joining a William Woods program that’s part of the NAIA’s Heart of America Conference. The Owls are led by former assistant coach and now second-year head coach Andrew Green.
