HS Ladies continue to roll, earn 2nd in Frisco

One week after the Lady Ballers Nation Middle School team took gold in Plano, the momentum continued to build steam as the High School Girls finished the Southwest Regional Championship with second place. The Lady Ballers finished with an overall record of 2-2 on the weekend.

Head coach Heavunli Reese was beyond pleased with her team's performance over the weekend. "The girls have grown as team throughout the first half of the season by watching each other from the bench and learning each others strengths and weaknesses," Reese said.

Reese concluded by reflecting on how not only the team has grown, but how she has grown as a coach as the year transpires. "Same with me as a coach, adding new pieces the team this year and having sets that allow each player to be the best version of themselves and complement each other on the court."

Weeks prior, both Middle School and High School teams played under one roof in Plano. Coach Reese reflected on the MS team's success and how it helped motivate the HS team during the event. "I absolutely think that it motivated them to overcome the epidemic of 'ME' and helped them realize that it takes the entire team to be successful. To watch this team build chemistry on top of seeing success only makes this team a more formidable opponent for whoever we face," Reese concluded.
