High School Boys thrive at GASO Austin

Ballers Nation traveled to the Texas capital for their second Great American Shootout event of the month of June. Both Black and Blue teams entered into divisions filled with high-caliber competition, with Black competing in the NBA division, the highest level of the event, and Blue competed in the NIT division.

BN Blue began the long weekend with back to back wins on Saturday, while averaging 55 points per game. Those two wins landed the club in the semifinal round of the Championship Red bracket. The day concluded with a hard fought semifinal loss. The team would bounce back Sunday afternoon however, where third place would be secured with a five point victory.

Over in the NBA division, BN Black needed a little heroics from Tyler Legacy C/O 2025 combo guard Jayden Jones (Twitter: @JaydenDJones) to clinch an opening round victory in overtime.

The ball club would fall in their next two outings but "[...] plenty of progress was shown," according to CEO and head coach Brian Crawford, "I'm beyond proud of how both teams performed. Events like these require every player wearing a Ballers Nation uniform to step up, and they did that this weekend," Crawford concluded.
