2023 Tryouts Come to a Close
With the start of a new season on the horizon, new faces step up to begin the process. Twenty years later, Ballers Nation welcomed the boys and girls classes of 2023 across 8 or more possible teams, with talent from across East Texas and surrounding areas. Tryouts began on January 31st, with 4th through 6th grader boys and girls reporting first.
"20 years ago we had just a lot of young men who were down on there luck with being cut from their school team, but Hungry to prove they belonged and wanted a roster spot/playing time on their respective teams. Every year I feel we get kids that are hungry to improve their game and that’s a blessing to see 20 years later with all that’s changed in the game of basketball," Ballers Nation CEO and head coach Brian Crawford said.
I am looking forward to another year or doing what we as a organization and staff love and that Teaching Kids to Be Elite and Be Great while in their process with Ballers Nation and Lady Ballers Nation. I am also looking forward to helping kids get that next level exposure and learn to compete against the areas they must deal with to get to state at all levels in Texas and that’s the DFW and Houston teams. -Brian Crawford Ballers Nation CEO
Crawford concluded by reflecting on the organization's Christ-centered mindset and on the parents that keep Ballers Nation going strong.
Lastly, If we can get those that commit from a parental & player standpoint to be better physically and mentally while praying & mentoring them thru all that life comes with. Then we’ve done our job as a staff and organization. This is God’s Work for sure!
Last season, all Ballers Nation teams earned hardware through the 5-month-long tournament season. In addition, all teams will be welcoming back returning talent from the previous season.
